Let’s get active at Katronic!

From running shoes to hiking boots – Katronic in top form

With sunny weather and high temperatures, a sporty week kicked off at Katronic with our participation in the Harzer Firmenlauf (Harzer Company Run).

This year, the race took place on 18 June 2025 for the 11^th time. The event at the Bürger- und Miniaturenpark Wernigerode attracted a total of 4,257 participants from 272 different companies. We weren’t the fastest this year either, but we certainly stood out on the approx. 2.5-kilometre course thanks to our homemade Pac-Man (Inspired by the Pac-Man game, © Bandai Namco) costumes.

With a total time of 41 minutes, Karsten, Laurin, Lena and Melissa secured 149^th place out of 267 teams – not bad at all!

Cheerful atmosphere and tasty food rounded off the event perfectly, before we set off two days later – once again in high spirits and well fed – for our next sporting adventure: our company hiking day through the beautiful Ilsetal. We were able to enjoy this one too, thanks to ideal conditions and pleasant weather.

The 13.9-kilometre route, including a visit to the Ilsestein, offered beautiful views, geocaching, Frisbee games, several stamp checkpoints, and a group lunch at Plessenburg.

This outing was another complete success, and the Katronic Hiking Day is now planned as an annual tradition.
