We pulled out all the stops for our seventh appearance in the Harz company run, a ‘fun’ event open to all businesses based in the beautiful Harz mountains in Germany. After another year of the pandemic, we decided that we wanted to do a little more than just run in this event. And so it happened that Katronic, in its 25th anniversary year, "put pen to cardboard" to be unrivalled, at least in their choice of streamlined runners' costumes. Well, maybe not streamlined – we took the concept of the old Tetris game and used that to create a set of funny costumes for the event.

To maintain Coronavirus protection, some things were different at the 7th Harzer Firmenlauf 2021. The start took place as a start time window in the form of individual timings. This allowed each runner to start individually or in a team. 

In dry weather conditions under blue skies, 255 teams ran the specified distance of 2.2 km in the Bürgerpark Wernigerode on Wednesday, 08.09.2021. The Katronic team took part for the seventh time in a row and finished in 103rd place in the men's relay category with a total time of 0:58:19.

Thanks to the set-up of a temporary event area with team tents, moderation and catering, the event was perfectly managed by the organisers.

We are already looking forward to next year!
