Team Katronic at the 10th Harz Company Run in Wernigerode
With a large number of participants and sunny weather, Katronic kicked off the annual Harz Company Run and once again impressed with a strong performance
Sport, team spirit and a great atmosphere at the Harz Company Run
In sunny weather, the Harz Company Run took place for the tenth time in Wernigerode on Wednesday 19 June 2024. This year, more than 2,200 participants from a total of 558 teams of four each ran the 2.1 km course in Bürgerpark. To avoid a mass start, each team set off together within a specified time slot.
The Katronic four-person relay team competed as a mixed team and, with a total time of 36:06 minutes, finished 46th out of a total of 247 teams in the mixed relay category. The fastest time in this category this year was 30:15 minutes. Katronic was also taking part for the tenth time. Whilst the team line-up varied from year to year, there was one constant: Karsten Frahn, the managing director, also competed for the tenth time and crossed the finish line in 8:55 minutes. Our intern, Anteus Hallaschka, set the all-time best time of 7:55 mins.
Coinciding with the event, the European Championship qualifying match between Germany and Hungary took place, which was screened live in a marquee on site. With a 2–0 victory for Germany, accompanied by unexpectedly glorious weather and a lively, cheerful atmosphere, the successful event in Bürgerpark drew to a close.
