With a large turnout and sunny weather, Katronic kicked off the annual Harz Company Run and once again impressed with a strong performance
Sports, Team Spirit, and a Great Atmosphere at the Harz Company Run
On a sunny Wednesday, June 19, 2024, the Harz Company Run took place in Wernigerode for the tenth time. This year, more than 2,200 participants from a total of 558 teams of four each ran the 2.1-kilometer course in Bürgerpark. To avoid a mass start, each team started together within a designated time window.
The Katronic four-person relay team competed as a mixed team and, with a total time of 36:06 min, placed 46th out of a total of 247 teams in the mixed relay category. The fastest time in this category this year was 30:15 min. Katronic was also participating for the tenth time. While the team’s lineup varied from year to year, there was one constant: Karsten Frahn, the company’s managing director, also competed for the tenth time and crossed the finish line in 8:55 min. Our intern, Anteus Hallaschka, set the all-time best time with 7:55 min.
Coinciding with the event, the European Championship preliminary round match between Germany and Hungary took place, which was broadcast on-site in a tent. With a 2:0 victory for Germany amid unexpectedly beautiful weather and a lively, cheerful atmosphere, the successful event in Bürgerpark came to a close.
