Trade fair month: May – Katronic on the road
From Bochum via Munich to England and Japan – despite numerous public holidays and holiday periods, May was a particularly eventful and successful month at Katronic.
Around the world
This month, several international trade fairs provided the opportunity to maintain existing contacts, forge new partnerships and showcase our ultrasonic flowmeters to an international audience of industry professionals.
May began with two parallel events for Katronic: whilst part of our team was at MEORGA – the one-day trade fair for measurement, control, regulation and automation technology – in Bochum, Katronic was simultaneously exhibiting at IFAT in Munich, the world’s largest trade fair for environmental technologies. Alongside some 3,400 exhibitors from over 60 countries, we were also delighted to be part of this international industry gathering. Our five-strong team, comprising staff from Germany and England, held numerous interesting discussions, made new contacts and came away with many exciting enquiries. Another particular highlight was the visit from our long-standing sales partner, Ahmed Saber from Egypt. We have been working closely together for 26 years now – which made us all the more delighted to have the chance to speak with him in person at the event. Of course, we couldn’t miss the anniversary celebrations marking IFAT’s 60th anniversary.
We then moved on to the leading trade fair for the British water and wastewater industry, the Water Equipment Show in Telford. Katronic was represented at the event by our UK team. With over 200 exhibitors and 35 specialist presentations from a wide range of industrial sectors, the trade fair offered numerous opportunities for professional exchange, product demonstrations and networking.
Also in England, ChemUK took place in Birmingham – the UK’s largest trade fair and conference for the chemical, process engineering and formulation industries. Katronic was represented as an exhibitor here too and was able to hold interesting discussions with industry representatives.
Finally, at the end of the month, there was another international highlight: Flomeko in Nara, Japan. Two of our German staff members used the event to gain new insights into flow measurement through specialist presentations and to establish valuable contacts in the Japanese market.
All in all, May was an intense, exciting and successful month for Katronic, featuring many face-to-face meetings, interesting discussions and international insights. We would like to thank all visitors, partners and colleagues for the excellent exchanges and are already looking forward to the upcoming events.
