Coventry Open Christmas

Once again this year, Katronic will be supporting Coventry Open Christmas, a local voluntary organisation run by the ‘Grub & Gab Club’. The organisation has been in existence for over 20 years and provides accommodation and meals for homeless and lonely people during the Christmas period. Over the course of five nights, more than 600 meals and additional snacks, as well as over 3,000 servings of tea and coffee, will be served.

We hope that, with your generosity, we can help make this a very special time for the people who use their services.

We are collecting the following items until 20 December 2021:

• Bedding – clean duvets, blankets, sleeping bags, pillows and sheets.

• Clothing – coats, jumpers, fleeces, T-shirts, trousers, socks, underwear (new items only, please), hats, gloves and scarves.

• Toiletries – toothbrushes, razors, soap, shower gel, aftershave and shaving foam, towels, face towels, wipes, hygiene products and deodorants.

• Food (non-perishable) - Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, UHT milk, pumpkin, cake, minced meat pies, biscuits, crisps, sweets, chocolate, tinned meat and fish, baked beans, tinned spaghetti, soup, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, tinned custard, breakfast cereals, brown/red sauce, mustard, gherkins, salt and pepper, and cooking oil.

We’d like to encourage everyone to donate to Coventry Open Christmas.

We also need volunteers to help us get everything we’ve collected to where it’s needed.
