Let's get active at Katronic!

Under bright sunshine and summery temperatures, a week of sports at Katronic kicked off with the company’s participation in the Harz Corporate Run. This year, the event took place on June 18, 2025, marking its 11th edition. The event at the Wernigerode Citizens’ and Miniature Park attracted a total of 4,257 participants from 272 different companies to this team event.

We weren’t the fastest this year either, but we made sure to draw plenty of attention and bring lots of smiles to spectators along the approximately 2.5-kilometer course with our homemade Pac-Man costumes (inspired by the game Pac-Man, © Bandai Namco).

With a total time of 41:00 minutes, Karsten, Laurin, Lena, and Melissa placed 149th out of 267 participating teams—still a solid spot in the middle of the pack!

With great music, a fantastic atmosphere, and delicious food, the event was a complete success. Two days later, we set off in high spirits and with more great food for our next sporting adventure: our company hiking day through the beautiful Ilse Valley. We were able to enjoy this one as well under ideal conditions and pleasant weather.

The 13.9-kilometer route, which included a visit to the Ilsestein, was punctuated by beautiful views, geocaches, Frisbee games, several HWN stamp stations, and a group lunch at Plessenburg.

An all-around successful day—and one thing is clear: The Katronic hiking day has earned its place as an annual highlight.
