Together with supporters and new colleagues, the Katronic team completed the course under ideal running conditions and enjoyed a wonderful evening in a sporty atmosphere.

The Harz Company Run in Wernigerode is growing in popularity. The event has become a fixture on the annual calendar of local companies, with a focus on fitness, team spirit, and networking. The majority of participating companies now send several teams to the starting line. This year, up to 17 teams per company were counted. Since 2020, the number of teams has tripled from 180 to 538.
The running course in Wernigerode’s Bürgerpark is a 2.2-kilometer loop that has been deliberately kept short to allow runners of varying fitness levels to participate in the event. All runners started within a designated two-hour time window. Individual times were recorded within this window.
This year, we took to the starting line with a men’s relay team. We were supported by Andreas Tille from the Robert Koch Institute in Wernigerode and by our new colleague Laurin Brach. With a total time of 36:19 min, the Katronic four-person relay team placed 137th out of 208.
Once again, the weather provided ideal running conditions, and the event was flawlessly organized. Over food and drinks, we enjoyed our time together, reflected on our running performances, and are already looking forward to next year—the 10th Harz Company Run in Wernigerode in 2024.
